Three Bob Ross Liquid Basecoats essential to the Bob Ross Wet-on-Wet Technique. The Bob Ross Wet-on-Wet Technique is dependent upon a wet surface to work into. Liquid white, liquid black and liquid clear are special formulas of oil painting mediums developed exclusively for Bob Ross, allowing the artist to blend their oil colours directly on the surface. A gesso made from unpigmented clear resin which dries completely clear. Can also be used to make your own coloured gesso primers by the addition of acrylic colours. With a balanced absorbency and excellent tooth this gesso creates the perfect surface upon which to paint.

It also allows watercolors to be used on a stable prepared canvas.

Golden Absorbent Ground, designed for stain and watercolor-type applications, is lightfast, permanent and flexible. It is not intended as a gesso alternative. It must be applied over a pre-primed surface due to its fragile, paper-like nature. Once properly sealed, it is a permanent acrylic film that does not need to be kept under glass. Golden Varnishes (Polymer ; MSA) will protect the artwork from environmental factors such as sunlight and dust.

The Universal Primer also works on leather, cardboards, wood and many other materials. After the Primers have been applied you can work with Montana spray paint on pre-treated ground. Use primers for efficient and more permanent results. Easy to apply, to sand and re-coat. For indoor and outdoor applications (wearing respirator mask is recommended).

USE: Apply primer in several thin layers spraying before the previous coat is fully dry, but with 1 or 2 minutes between each pass. Further coats might require a drying time of 24 hours or more depending on substrate. Always test spray on a non-visible area to check compatibility of lacquer or paint. For optimal lifespan, store cans always with the nozzle on.
