Coates Artists Willow Charcoal Powder 125ml

This charcoal powder by Coates is obtained by grinding willow charcoal sticks into a fine (120 microns) powder. It’s ideal for large scale artwork, subtle shading, or mixing with water or paint, and can be applied to any absorbent surface (paper, cardboard, canvas...) with a brush or fingers.

Finely ground graphite powder, ideal for large area and subtle toning. Using powdered graphite enables the artist to 'paint' with graphite, offering softer and looser coverage than graphite applied from a pencil or stick.

This Charcoal Pad from Strathmore is part of their 300 series and contains 36 sheets of 95gsm quality paper. Each sheet is a natural white paper with a classic laid finish making it an ideal surface and foundation for charcoal and pastel applications.

As the surface is durable it's also suitable for other mediums like oil pastels and crayon as well. All 36 pages are wire bound and micro-perforated, making it easier to tear away individual pages and become actual sized once removed. The pad itself measures 11 x 17 inches and is wire bound giving you the ability to flip over the cover for easier use whilst sketching and drawing.
