    Product Description

    The Fischertechnik Agile Production Simulation 24V is an advanced modular Industry 4.0 training factory designed to demonstrate modern digital manufacturing processes, intelligent networking, automation engineering, and agile production workflows.

    Developed for technical colleges, universities, vocational training centres, and industrial training environments, the Agile Production Simulation provides a realistic learning platform for smart factory concepts, PLC programming, artificial intelligence, automated guided vehicles, cloud integration, and Digital Twin applications.

    The factory consists of multiple interconnected production modules including incoming and outgoing goods, a high-bay warehouse, milling station, drilling station, and AI-supported quality assurance station.

    A driverless transport system (AGV) automatically transports workpieces between the individual production stations, creating a flexible manufacturing process that can be adapted dynamically according to customer requirements.

    The modular design allows the factory to be expanded with additional stations including:

    • Additional drilling stations
    • Additional milling stations
    • Kiln modules
    • Additional AGV systems

    NFC-Based Smart Manufacturing

    Each workpiece contains an integrated NFC tag used for storing and processing production data including:

    • Workpiece colour
    • Delivery time
    • Storage and retrieval times
    • Completed production processes
    • Quality inspection results

    Different coloured workpieces (white, red, and blue) pass through different production workflows, creating variable throughput times and realistic manufacturing scenarios.

    Centralised Factory Control

    The factory is controlled using a central Raspberry Pi 4 Model B, networked with the PLC controllers of the individual production modules using Siemens S7-1200 PLC systems in the 24V version.

    The central controller communicates with the AGV system using the standardised VDA 5050 AGV communication interface. Factory communication uses the MQTT (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport) protocol.

    Cloud Connectivity & Digital Twin

    The Agile Production Simulation is connected to the fischertechnik Cloud via WLAN router integration. The cloud platform includes:

    • Online workpiece ordering simulation
    • Factory status dashboards
    • Production monitoring
    • Key performance indicators (KPIs)
    • Remote maintenance simulation
    • Live camera monitoring
    • Digital Twin functionality

    Images captured by the moving factory camera can be displayed remotely within the dashboard interface for remote monitoring and maintenance demonstrations.

    The individual factory modules are physically connected using a tongue-and-groove base plate system, allowing additional modules to be integrated and configured within the digital dashboard environment.
