These Miniature Buzzers are a low cost miniature transistor oscillator 6V buzzer with flying leads. They have a single-tone frequency of 400hz and a sound output of 75dB @ 200mm. They are rated for 4V - 8V (6V nominal) and a current of 25mA and the driver circuitry is built in. These buzzers are supplied as a pack of 10.
The buzzer unit is L23mm x W17mm x H15.5mm, with fixing centres at 27.5mm, which gives a total length measurement of 33.5mm. The colour-coded (red & black) flying leads are 100mm. To ensure optimum performance and to protect the buzzer, ensure that the supply (e.g. batteries) is connected in the correct configuration.

Version 3 is the newest version of Kitronik's best selling pre-built Mono Amplifier Kit that can be used with any personal stereo equipment, including MP3 players, making it an ideal kit choice for an amplifier case design project.
It uses an NCP2890 audio amplifier IC which can output 1.0W of power. The NCP2890 is an audio power amplifier designed for portable communication device applications such as mobile phone applications and PDAs. The IC also features an onboard “Pop and Click” at startup and closedown Noise Protection Circuit.
The kit comes pre-built and is supplied with a pre-built jack cable, an 8ohm 66mm speaker, and a AA battery pack and can run off any voltage from 2.2 to 5.5 Volts (Absolute Maximum 6V). For a full list of parts, see the Contents section below.
All that is required is to solder the jack lead, speaker & battery cage to the board and you are good to go. Previous versions of this amp included a PP3 power connection and were designed to operate around 9V, V3.0 has been designed for use with 2 x AA batteries. There are several advantages to using AA batteries over PP3, they include; AA batteries are much cheaper, more readily available and will also last significantly longer than PP3 batteries, anything up to ten times longer.
Features:
Pre-built kit allows you to concentrate on product design rather than assembly.
Great value electronic project kit.
Works with any stereo equipment, including computers, phones, and tablets that can accept the jack lead.
This stereo audio amplifier kit can be used with any personal stereo equipment, including MP3 players and Mobile devices, such as tablets and phones with a 3.5mm jack socket. The kit can be used in the classroom to teach electronics and product design. The M3 mounting holes in each of the corners make it straightforward to attach the kit firmly to an enclosure. As with all of our project kits, we have provided teachers with full documentation that can be used for lesson planning, they can be downloaded from the foot of the product description.
The kit features 2 x FM8002A mono amplifier ICs, one for each channel, which are surface-mounted components that come pre-fitted to the PCB. Once the rest of the circuit has been built and the speakers attached, the amplifier outputs 1.5W per channel into 8ohm speakers. The kit is supplied with a 3 x AA battery holder (with flying leads) for powering the amplifier, the kit is not supplied with batteries.
This is the perfect speaker for projects that produce sound but where space is tight or where the speaker needs to be discreet. These speakers work well with the BBC microbit; you can code the microbit to play music or emit a beep as an alarm and this little speaker will do an admirable job.
This a 0.25W, 8ohm speaker is only 40mm in diameter and just over 4mm thick making it very similar in size to those found in talking greeting cards, you could even design a microbit talking greeting card that has the built in micro:bit as a present as well as part of the card.
Features:
8ohm speaker that is ideal for use with the BBC microbit.
4mm thick, making it ideal for use as a discreet speaker.
