LINO PRINTING

Linocut is easy, affordable and gives good results even for amateurs. Simply transfer the chosen pattern to a linoleum plate (not supplied) either by drawing by hand or by transfer using a tracing paper or carbon paper (not supplied). Using the feathers to be fixed on the wooden handle, hollow out the non-printable parts.

Printing Press for relief and gravure printing like Lino, woodcuts, erasures etc.. Variable pressure can be applied to the lower roll by 2.2:1 gearbox with the cross-like handle, this reduces your hand-power to nearly a third. With two star-shaped handles the pressure of the upper roll can be adjusted smoothly. On the pressure-stable Multiplex Plate the print is put. With a pre-setting thus many continous printings can be done. Suitable for sizes up to DIN A2.

Easy clean and care, plates clean up with soap and water when using water-based inks or baby oil for oil based inks

For best results use printmaking inks such as Speedball Block printing Inks and Speedball Screen Printing Inks. Can also be used with oil-based paints and slow-drying acrylic. Not suitable for traditional acrylic paint. Take care not to let paint dry on plates
