The urround / Sound Processor Maker CPE+-filament is very well suited for the production of prototypes and mechanical components. The material has been specially designed for the urround / Sound Processor Maker 3D printer.

It is characterized by, among other things, its strength and smell of neutrality. At the same time, the cura published version provides useful material profiles are available, which can be printed even complex models easily and reliably. Despite the compatibility with the urround / Sound Processor maker devices, CPE+ material is also used by other FDM-printers can be used. The Ultimaker PAX-M2085 Nylon filament is a polyamide grade based on PA6/66. It features reduced humidity absorption and longer shelf life compared to other nylon filaments. The Ultimaker S3 replaced the Ultimaker 3 from April 2020.  It can print an enormous range of materials including composites, engineering plastics and nylon. It is engineered to print continuously, with maximum uptime, reliably. No other Ultimaker 3D printer packs so much capability into such a cost-effective package 3D printing has long been synonymous with fabricating exceptional parts and models – but repeatability has always been a challenge. Not anymore.

Ultimaker has perfected first layer adhesion with the S3, which scans the build plate and corrects any microscopic discrepancies within the Z-height. The result is a perfect first layer for perfect adhesion and stability on the build plate. The S3’s build area is 230 x 190 x 200 mm which is down on the S5, but you have to remember this is a more compact 3D printer. It has an assembled size of 394 x 489 x 637 mm, which is around the same size as a laser jet. In other words, it’ll fit on a computer desk quite comfortably - filament tubes and all.

The S3 benefits from dual extrusion technology with Ultimaker swappable print cores, which enable you to easily switch between abrasive, non-abrasive and low and high-temp materials. The S3 is compatible with the complete Ultimaker material library, including TPU 95A, CPE+, Tough PLA, PVA and Breakaway. You can also print with glass and carbon fibre composites. All you need is the Print Core CC Red and you’ll be able to print up to 10kg of carbon fibre. Overall, the S3 is an outstanding 3D printer. The Ultimaker Series Air Manager improves the Ultimaker Series 3D printing workflow and efficiency. With a connected Air Manager, the Ultimaker S5 & S6 is enhanced with the following features:

UFP filtering The Air Manager encloses the top of Ultimaker S5 & S6 and ensures an inside-out airflow. The air passes through an E10 filter whereby Ultrafine Particles (UFPs) get trapped.

Optimized material compatibility The Air Manager will automatically adjust its fan speed to optimize print quality per material.

Physical barrier The enclosed top prevents users from reaching into the machine during operation and ensures particles from the environment do not influence the print result.

The Ultimaker allows for quick and easy nozzle changes, so different nozzle sizes can be selected to suit each project. Use a smaller nozzle to print fine lines for more detail, or use a larger nozzle to print thicker lines to decrease print duration. The Olsson block brass Jet nozzles have a special tip angle and shoulder width, they also have a special internal geometry with an angle less steep down to the nozzle hole. A special treatment applied inside also makes them slip more.
