The V5 Claw Kit provides additional functionality to any robot build by allowing you to easily grab and manipulate objects. Note:Motor required and not included. Dexterous enough to grab a feather Comes partially assembled Compatible with all VEX Mechanical Parts
The beauty of a reliable radio connection, in a small simple package. The V5 Robot Radio allows your V5 Robot Brain to communicate with other devices. All wireless communication to the V5 Robot Brain is done through the V5 Robot Radio, including competition control and wireless activation of VEX Code programs. VEXnet 3.0 supports 500 simultaneous robot channels Capable of wirelessly connecting to Bluetooth® enabled devices LED indicator for linked, scanning and active modes
Mechanisms such as flywheels and arms do not need large external gear ratios if the output shaft speed of the driving motor is already close to the desired speed or torque. Therefore, changing internal gear ratios to fit specific needs allows more efficient and compact mechanisms to be designed.
This cartridge has a 18:1 ratio, giving a maximum output speed of speed of 200 rpm. It is the standard gear ratio supplied in a V5 Smart Motor and is ideal for drive train applications.
Ratio 18:1 Rotational speed 200 rpm Coloured coded green for easy identification when fitted inside a VEX V5 Smart Motor
The VEXnet Backup Battery allows you to mount and connect (1) 9V battery. This battery keep VEXnet alive when the main battery fails. Works with the VEX Cortex Microcontroller. Works with the VEX ARM9 Microcontroller. The kit contains: (1) Backup Battery Holder (1) Backup Battery Cable Uses (1) 9V battery (not included)
The VEXnet Joystick is the most intuitive way to wirelessly control a VEX EDR robot. With a familiar layout inspired by video game controllers, the VEXnet Joystick features a 2-axis accelerometer, 8 face buttons, and 4 "trigger" buttons. Powered by AAA batteries or through the VEXnet Joystick Power Adapter.
Have a lot of moving parts on your robot? Simply connect the Partner Joystick to the VEXnet Joystick using a Coiled Handset Cable and divide command between two separate operators! Great for building teamwork or for complex robots.
NOTE:VEXnet Joystick and Partner Joystick contain the associated controllers ONLY. Six (6)AAA batteriesor apower adapterare required for operation, and aVEXnet Key 2.0is required for wireless communication.
VEXpro VersaHubs provide frustration-free torque transfer between wheels, gears, sprockets, and shafts.
Got a 1/2" Hex that you need to put a plate sprocket on? No problem. Need to mount a 64-tooth gear to your Mecanum Wheel? We can do that. Whatever your need, these hubs will help you integrate everything together seamlessly.
Most of the wheels and sprockets that teams typically use (including the previous generation of VEXpro wheels) don't take piloting into account. We wanted to make sure that everything pilots correctly... every time. Wheels, hubs, gears, sprockets… they all work together.
VersaHubs include the innovative VersaKey mounting system -- VersaKeys transfer torque between coaxial items, and also ensure everything is piloted correctly.

This Pneumatic Solenoid Driver Cable is this same driver cable that is included in the Pneumatic Kits. On one end of the Driver Cable is the standard 3-wire PWM Connector which connects to a VEX Microcontroller Digital Output. On the other end is the 2-wire Pneumatic Connector which mates directly to the Pneumatic Solenoid. This cable takes the digital On / Off signal and controls the 5V power applied to a pneumatic solenoid. The Pneumatic Solenoid Driver Cable is rated at approx. 3 to 4A.

Pillow Block Bearings are similar to the 'pillow-blocks' used in industry. They mount on a piece of structure and support a shaft which is offset either above, below or to the side of the structure. Lock Bars allow any VEX component to be 'locked' to a shaft so that it will spin with the shaft.
The Optical Shaft encoder is used to measure both relative position of and rotational distance traveled by a shaft. It works by shining light onto the edge of a disk outfitted with evenly spaced slits around the circumference. As the disk spins, light passes through the slits and is blocked by the opaque spaces between the slits. The encoder then detects how many slits have had light shine through, and in which direction the disk is spinning.
The Optical Shaft Encoder can be used to improve a robot in various ways. The encoder can measure rotational distance traveled and speed, which can be used to monitor, for example, the angular position of a robot gripper arm or the speed of a robot. Knowing these parameters can greatly assist you with performing autonomous tasks with your robot.
With the Quadrature Encoder's two output channels you can measure both the position and direction of rotation of a VEX shaft. This will allow you to calculate the speed of the shaft, as well as the distance it has traveled using programming software. Encoders are typically used for “infinite rotation” applications, such as a drive wheel. A Programming Kit is needed to change the program in the VEX Controller to use the Quadrature Encoder.
VEX has the right tire for any terrain. Three different size wheel diameters (70mm, 100mm and 127mm) are included in this kit, each with a different tread type; choose the perfect wheel for your application.

The V5 Distance Sensor measures distance to an object, approximate object size and approach speed. The distance measurement range is 20mm to 2,000mm. Below 200mm the accuracy is approximately +/‐15mm, above 200mm the accuracy is approximately 5%. The approximate object size is reported as small, medium or large, and is useful for determining if the target is a wall or a game object. Approach speed measures the approach speed of the sensor and the object.
The V5 Distance Sensor uses a classroom safe Class 1 Laser, similar to those used on modern cell phones for head detection. The laser allows the sensor to have a very narrow field of view, so detection is always directly in front of the sensor.
