Use these collars to lock drive shafts and keep wheels and gears from sliding along the shaft. The collars fit around the drive shafts and are fastened in place using the grubscrews supplied. Designed specifically for the VEX Drive Shaft Inside diameter approx. 4mm Outside diameter approx. 11mm Grub screws use the same Allen key as the 6-32 Motor Screws

The Tool Kit contains all of the tools you will need to build with VEX EDR. The Open End Wrench fits VEX EDR nuts and standoffs, while the Hex Keys fit screws and shaft collars. The Performance Tool Kit contains tools that make working on your VEX EDR robot easier. If you';re using Star Drive screws or couplers, don';t forget to pick up Star Drive Keys or Screwdrivers to go along with them!

The Inertial Sensor is a combination of a 3-axis (X,Y, and Z) accelerometer and a 3-axis gyroscope. The accelerometer measures linear acceleration of the robot (including gravity), while the gyroscope electronically measures the rate of rotation about the V5 inertial sensor three-axis.

The combination of these two devices in one sensor allows for effective and accurate navigation, as well as controlling any change in the motion of a robot.

The V5 Optical Sensor can detect colours (including grayscale) as a hue and RGB value. Can also detect short ranges and gestures.

Mechanisms such as flywheels and arms do not need large external gear ratios if the output shaft speed of the driving motor is already close to the desired speed or torque. Therefore, changing internal gear ratios to fit specific needs allows more efficient and compact mechanisms to be designed.

This cartridge has a 18:1 ratio, giving a maximum output speed of speed of 200 rpm. It is the standard gear ratio supplied in a V5 Smart Motor and is ideal for drive train applications.

Washer are thin disks with a hole used to distribute the load of a threaded fastener. VEX V5 washers fit on all VEX V5 screws and VEX V5 shafts.

This Pneumatic Solenoid Driver Cable is this same driver cable that is included in the Pneumatic Kits. On one end of the Driver Cable is the standard 3-wire PWM Connector which connects to a VEX Microcontroller Digital Output. On the other end is the 2-wire Pneumatic Connector which mates directly to the Pneumatic Solenoid. This cable takes the digital On / Off signal and controls the 5V power applied to a pneumatic solenoid. The Pneumatic Solenoid Driver Cable is rated at approx. 3 to 4A.
