Structured Screen-Free Coding (Ages 5+)
The WhalesBot U30 Pro uses the Smart Panel BP201 to deliver hands-on, screen-free coding. Students build programs by inserting magnetic coding cards into the panel, then run their program directly on the robot.
The coding system categorises cards into:
- Motion Control – forward, backward, turning and speed control
- Logic Control – loops and conditional programming
- Light Control – LED and dot-matrix display interaction
- Sound Control – sound effects and voice responses
- Numbers & Sensors – parameter values and sensor triggers
This structure allows teachers to introduce real programming concepts such as sequencing, repetition, conditions and sensor-based logic in an age-appropriate way.
Hardware & Sensors
According to the official U30 Pro parts list, the kit includes a controller, intelligent motor, ultrasonic sensor module, RGB module and a wide range of structural components for building robotic models.
The ultrasonic sensor enables obstacle detection projects, while motor control cards allow students to experiment with movement precision and speed adjustments.
These features make the U30 Pro ideal for:
- Senior Infants and early primary STEM
- Guided classroom robotics sessions
- Coding rotations and group challenges
- Developing computational thinking through hands-on play
Why Teachers Choose U30 Pro
- No tablets or screens required
- Clear visual programming structure
- Supports progression from U20 Pro
- Prepares students for advanced robotics systems
